Robin Hoods Bay is a small, ancient village, nestled around the steep banks of Kings Beck on the North Yorkshire coast, just 6 miles south of Whitby, from which Captain Cook once sailed.

This very picturesque village consists of a jumble of houses, some dating back to the sixteenth century, which cling to the cliffs traversed by a network of cobbled pathways - ideal for escaping smugglers in days gone by!

Once a very prosperous fishing village, with 200 fishing boats in 1538, Robin Hoods Bay is now very popular with tourists and much loved by walkers, artists and nature enthusiasts.Robin Hoods Bay is on the Cleveland Way and also at the end of Wainwright's famous Coast to Coast walk across England, commencing at St Bees Head and covering approximately 192 miles of beautiful and challenging "walking".

If you're visiting "Baytown", look out for the Roundhead's helmet outside Cromwells' workshop, by the sea opposite the Bay Hotel.

You can collect an order form here and see samples of our plaques in the window of our workshop - or inside if we are there.

We have two workshops, so we may not be at Robin Hood's Bay, however just give us a ring, email us or post us an order form.
